Cerec

We know your time is valuable. That’s why we’ve invested in CEREC digital technology that allows for a faster experience when you need crowns or large fillings.

CEREC is a revolutionary way to restore damaged teeth in a single visit. From simple fillings to full crowns to veneers, CEREC delivers the results you need right here at Family Smiles Dental Care, usually within a SINGLE APPOINTMENT. Making your teeth beautiful, and stronger than before.

In the course of ONE VISIT, we can diagnose and prepare your damaged tooth, create an optical impression of the tooth, and use CEREC to design and mill a precision restoration, which is then permanently bonded to your tooth. NO METAL, NO MESS, NO DISCOMFORT, NO WAIT!!!

"GET THE SMILE YOU WANT and GET BACK TO YOUR LIFE!"

CEREC, How it works?

DIGITAL IMPRESSION:

After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment, we will prepare your tooth for the restoration. First your tooth will be coated with a safe, tasteless powder. Next we use a state-of-the-art digital camera to create a 3D optical impression. The digital image replaces the physical impression required in traditional procedures.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN:

The use of State-of-the-art CAD software allows us to design every precise detail of your restoration with the incredibly detailed accuracy. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.

MILLING AND PLACEMENT:

While you wait, exact design specifications are sent to our in office laboratory for milling of your restoration. About 15 minutes later, your all-ceramic, color matched restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanent placement. Your tooth is restored back to its natural form, function and beauty.

CROWNS - A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a tooth to restore its shape and size, strength or improve its appearance. A crown may be needed to protect a weakened tooth from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth, to restore a broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down, or to replace old, failing restorations.

The CEREC crown provides a beautiful looking, single visit restoration. With its enamel-like material, the CEREC crown looks and feels like the real teeth. As with any CEREC restoration, your crown can be taken care of in ONE VISIT so you can avoid the impression material, temporary crown and return appointment associated with lab-generated restorations

.

ONLAYS - CEREC onlays take the place of extensive amalgam (metal) or composite fillings to create a smooth, tooth-colored replacement of tooth material lost to cavities. Onlays are more extensive than inlays, covering one or more of the cusps on the chewing surface of the tooth. Onlays are also known as Crowns. With a CEREC onlay, you may be able to avoid the need for a full crown.

The CEREC onlay provides a strong, long-lasting restoration. Compared to composite onlays, CEREC's enamel-like material looks and feels more like your real teeth and helps restore teeth to their original strength. Because it is metal free, it has a more natural look and feel, and the CEREC onlay can help preserve healthy, natural tooth structure. As with most CEREC restorations, your onlay can be completed WITHIN ONE VISIT!

INLAYS - CEREC inlays can be used instead of traditional amalgam (metal) or composite fillings to create a smooth, tooth-colored replacement of tooth material lost to cavities. CEREC inlays are designed and custom fabricated using state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology to perfectly match your tooth and bring it back to its natural strength.

The CEREC inlay is superior to amalgam or composite fillings because of its superior esthetics and strength. With enamel-like material, they look and feel like your real teeth, and are longer lasting. And as with most CEREC restorations, your inlay can all be taken care of in ONE VISIT. You can avoid the impression materials, temporary and return appointment associated with lab-fabricated ceramic restorations.
